Why I write - It all started with a Baseball Stadium
For my first assignment in the class, I had to write a why I write paper. This topic was simple, yet difficult for me to answer. As I sat in front of my computer, I decided to just start writing down things I had written about. I started jotting down different experiences I had that involved writing, and then figured it out: I write to tell stories. Once I figured that out, I tried to think of where and when I began to tell these stories. Although stories were always in my head, I had never thought about when I really wanted to put them on paper. But as I continued to think, it finally hit me. It all started when I was 5, and my grandpa drove me by the newly constructed baseball stadium for the Detroit Tigers: Comerica Park.
